Frequently asked questions
How does an SWP calculator work?
It starts with your invested corpus, adds monthly compounded returns and subtracts a fixed withdrawal at the end of each month. The result is the balance left after the chosen period, and it flags if the corpus runs out earlier.
Can my corpus run out with an SWP?
Yes. If your monthly withdrawal is larger than the returns the corpus earns, the balance shrinks each month and can deplete before the period ends. The calculator shows roughly when that happens.
