Frequently asked questions
- How does it know a page is blank?
- Each page is rendered in your browser and checked for ink. The outer edge is ignored, because scans often pick up shadows, punch holes and speckle there, and a page counts as blank when almost nothing is left after that.
- What if it flags a page I want to keep?
- Nothing is deleted automatically. Every detected page is listed with a thumbnail and a tick — untick any you want to keep, then download. If it misses pages, rescan on the Loose sensitivity.
- Why are the backs of my scanned pages not detected?
- Double-sided scans often show faint text bleeding through from the other side, which counts as ink. Try the Loose sensitivity, which tolerates a stray mark or a light footer.
- Is my PDF uploaded anywhere?
- No. Detection and cleanup run entirely in your browser — your document never leaves your device.
