- Are my images uploaded to a server?
- No. The image is read from your own device and cropped in your browser using a canvas — it is never sent anywhere, and no copy is kept.
- Can I crop to an exact size?
- Yes. Drag the box for a rough crop, then type exact X, Y, width and height values in pixels. The numbers and the box stay in sync, and both are clamped so the selection can never fall outside the image.
- How do the aspect ratio presets work?
- Choosing a ratio such as 1:1, 4:3 or 16:9 fits the largest box of that shape inside your image and keeps it locked while you drag, so the crop stays exactly on ratio. Pick 'Free' to crop to any shape.
- Does cropping reduce quality?
- No. The pixels you keep are copied across untouched at their original resolution — cropping only discards the area outside the box. Saving as JPG re-encodes the result, so choose PNG if you want a lossless copy or need transparency.
